Saint-Gibrien is a French commune with 538 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Marne department in the Grand Est region . Fagnières belongs to the arrondissement Châlons-en-Champagne and the canton Châlons-en-Champagne-2 (until 2015: canton Châlons-en-Champagne-3 ).

Saint-Gibrien is located in northeastern France in the Champagne countryside and about three kilometers south-southwest of the city center of Châlons-en-Champagne on the Marne , which forms the northern and eastern municipal boundaries. Saint-Gibrien is surrounded by the municipalities of Recy in the north and northeast, Fagnières in the south and east, Villers-le-Château in the south and west and Matougues in the north-west.

The A26 autoroute runs through the municipality .
