history
In 1845, the communes of Champigneul and Écury-le-Petit merged to form the new commune of Champigneul-Écury-le-Petit. In 1852, the commune of Champigneul-Écury-le-Petit merged with the commune of Champagne and together they formed the commune of Champigneul-Champagne.
