Haussimont is a French commune with 140 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Marne department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Champagne-Ardenne ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Châlons-en-Champagne and the Châlons-en-Champagne municipal association founded in 2016 . The residents are called house simoniots .
geography
Haussimont is located 27 kilometers south of the departmental capital Châlons-en-Champagne and 30 kilometers west of Vitry-le-François in the Champagne sèche , the "dry Champagne". The Somme , a tributary of the Marne, flows through the municipality . Except for the alluvial forests on the Somme, the municipal area of 17.63 km² is almost woodless and characterized by large-scale fields on mostly flat ground relief. Haussimont is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bussy-Lettrée in the northeast, Sommesous in the east, Montépreux in the south and Vassimont-et-Chapelaine in the west and northwest.

Economy and Infrastructure
Twelve farms (cultivation of grain, pulses and oilseeds) and a starch factory are located in Haussimont.
Haussimont is one of the few municipalities in France that has the Ville fleurie - 4 flowers label .
The partially motorway-like RN 4 runs through the municipality of Haussimont from Paris to Nancy . Five kilometers to the east this is crossed by the A 26 autoroute .
In the northeast, Haissimont has a stake in Paris Vatry Airport .
