La Cheppe is a French commune with 335 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Marne department in the Grand Est region (before 2016 Champagne-Ardenne ). It belongs to the arrondissement Châlons-en-Champagne and the canton Argonne Suippe et Vesle (until 2015 Suippes ).

La Cheppe is around fourteen kilometers northeast of Châlons-en-Champagne on the banks of the Noblette River . Neighboring communities are Cuperly in the north and west, Bussy-le-Château in the east, Courtisols in the south and south-east, L'Épine in the south and south-west, and Saint-Étienne-au-Temple in the south-west.

The A4 autoroute runs through the municipality .
