Saint-Jean-sur-Moivre is located about 15 kilometers southeast of the city center of Chalons-en-Champagne on the upper reaches of the Moivre River . Saint-Jean-sur-Moivre is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Marson in the north and north-west, Coupéville in the east, Saint-Amand-sur-Fion in the south and south-west and Dampierre-sur-Moivre in the west.
