Les Charmontois is located 50 kilometers east of Châlons-en-Champagne and about 80 kilometers east-southeast of Reims . Les Charmontois is surrounded by the neighboring communities Le Vieil-Dampierre in the north and northwest, Éclaires in the north, Seuil-d'Argonne in the north and east, Lisle-en-Barrois in the southeast, Belval-en-Argonne in the south, Le Châtelier in the southwest and La Neuville-aux-Bois to the west.
