Artur Pavliukov (born February 14, 1997 in Klaipėda ) is a Lithuanian ice hockey goalkeeper who has been under contract with Coulee Region Chill in the North American Hockey League since 2016 .
Career
Clubs
Artur Pavliukov began his career in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius , where he played for various second division clubs at the time. In 2013 he moved to the top club Energija Elektrėnai , where he played in the Belarusian Wysschaja Liga , the second highest division in the country. After he won the championship title of the second highest Latvian league with the Liepāja Juniors in 2014/15, he returned to his former club Vilnius Hockey Punks in 2015, for whom he was in goal in the Lithuanian ice hockey league . In 2016 he moved to Coulee Region Chill from La Crosse in the North American Hockey League , which selected him as the 14th player in the NAHL Entry Draft in the first round, but also played for their farm team La Crosse Freeze in the NA3HL and the El Paso Rhinos and the Lake Tahoe Icemen, who both play in the Western State Hockey League. Since 2017 he has been back in the North American Hockey League, where he is now in the goal of the Kenai River Brown Bears from Soldotna .
International
For Lithuania, Pavliukov took part in the junior division of the U18 World Championships in Division II in 2014 , when he made a significant contribution to the rise of the Lithuanians with the lowest goals against , and in Division I in 2015 and the U20 World Championships in Division II in 2015 , when he did not was used, in 2016 , when he was voted the best goalkeeper of the tournament with the second best catch quota behind the Hungarian Gergely Arany and the third lowest goal conceding behind Arany and the Croatian Vilim Rosandić , and in 2017 , when he was voted the best goalkeeper of the tournament with the second best catch quota and the second best goal against goal respectively behind the Japanese Yujiro Isobe contributed significantly to the promotion to Division I and was again awarded as the best goalie of the tournament.
He played for the Lithuanian men's national team for the first time in February 2016 in the Olympic qualification for the 2018 Winter Games in Pyeongchang . In April of that year he took part in the 2016 World Cup in Division I. He achieved the third-best catch quota of the tournament after the Ukrainian Eduard Sachartschenko and the Croat Vilim Rosandić. He was also in the Lithuanian squad in Division I at the 2017 and 2018 World Championships , although he was not used in 2018 when the team was promoted from group B to group A. He also represented his colors at the Baltic Cup 2017.
