Ante Miše (born June 14, 1967 in Borovo , SR Croatia , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Croatian soccer coach and former soccer player .

Player career

Already used during his time at his home club NK Borovo Vukovar as a youth national player of Yugoslavia, Miše moved to Hajduk Split in the summer of 1984 and was already used 14 times in the first Yugoslav league in the 1985/86 season.

In 1989/90 he played for Borac Banja Luka in the first Yugoslav league, then returned to Hajduk, where he was Yugoslav Cup winner in 1991, Croatian champion in 1992 and 1994 and cup winner in 1993. From 1994 to 1997 Miše played for Vitesse Arnheim in the Dutch Eredivisie . After returning to Hajduk, he was two more Croatian champions and two cup winners, before ending his active career from January 2004 to summer 2005 with NK Mura Murska Sobota in the Slovenian first division.

On July 5, 1992, Miše was appointed to the Croatian national football team for the first time . In total, he completed 7 international matches.

Coaching career

Immediately after his active career, Miše took over his first coaching position in the third Croatian league at NK Dugopolje.

From July to December 2007 he was employed by the Croatian second division club NK Mosor Žrnovnica , then until the end of May 2008 at the league competitor NK Trogir . He was then under contract with Hajduk, initially as an assistant coach and since Goran Vučević's resignation on October 26, 2008, as an interim and later officially as Hajduk's head coach. On August 2, 2009, he resigned from his position and was hired for the 2010/11 season with league rivals NK Istra 1961 . After unsuccessful months in Istra, Ante was separated. In 2011 he was again under contract as a coach at Hajduk Split. From 2011 to 2012 he was a trainer at NK Dugopolje . From 2013 to 2015 he was the coach of the Bosnian club NK Vitez . From 2015 to 2017, Miše was national coach for the first time and coached the Croatian national soccer team . In 2018 he was the coach of the Bosnian club HSK Zrinjski Mostar . From 2019 to 2020, Miše was the coach of the Turkmen national football team .
