Ante Vukušić (born June 4, 1991 in Sinj ) is a Croatian football player .

Career

In the club

Vukušić started his career in the youth of his home club Junak Sinj. In 2007 he moved to the youth department of the eight-time Croatian champion Hajduk Split . In January 2009 he signed a five-year contract with Hajduk Split . He made his debut on April 22, 2009 in a 5-0 win against NK Croatia Sesvete . He scored his first goal for Split in the 2008/09 season against Dinamo Zagreb . He has been a regular at Split since the 2009/10 season. Against the Italian club Inter Milan , Vukušić scored a goal (penalty) in the Europa League qualification for the 2012/13 season for a 2-0 away win. Because of the 0-3 defeat in the first leg, Hajduk Split was eliminated.

In the summer of 2012, Vukušić moved to the Italian first division club Delfino Pescara 1936 for 5 million euros and signed a four-year contract. He made his debut on matchday two against Turin . He scored his first goal on matchday 16 in a 2-0 win over Genoa FC .

After Pescara's relegation, he was awarded twice before his contract was finally terminated in October 2015. In January 2016 he moved to Germany for the second division team SpVgg Greuther Fürth . His contract there also ended prematurely after the contract was terminated on March 15, 2017.

In July 2017 Vukušić moved to the Russian first division promoted FK Tosno . Due to a stubborn lung disease ( pneumothorax ), he did not play a game for his new club in the Premier League until the end of the year .

National team

Vukušić went through from the U-18 to all U-national teams of Croatia. On August 15, 2012 against Switzerland Vukušić had his only appearance in the senior national team .
