Anthony Geslin (born June 9, 1980 in Alençon ) is a former French cyclist .

Athletic career

Anthony Geslin won the important junior race Trofeo Karlsberg in 1998 and came second in the Chrono des Herbiers . He was also able to defend his title as French time trial champion in the same year.

In 2000 Geslin became a professional with the French cycling team Bonjour . He celebrated his first professional victory in 2004 on the Route Adélie . After taking part in the Tour de France for the first time in 2005 , he had the greatest success of his career: At the road cycling world championships , he finished third behind Tom Boonen and Alejandro Valverde in a road race out of a top group of 25 .

Geslin started six times in the Tour de France , but was never able to place in front. He took part in the Vuelta a España three times , but never reached the goal.

Geslin ended his cycling career at the end of 2015 in order to work as a financial advisor for professional cyclists.
