Antoine Abed
Antoine Abed (born October 26, 1896 in Tripoli , Lebanon , † September 15, 1975 ) was the Maronite Archbishop of Tripoli .
He was ordained a diocesan priest in Tripoli on May 17, 1925 . He received his appointment as Archbishop of Tripoli on April 23, 1933, confirmation by the Holy See followed on May 7, 1933, and episcopal ordination on October 16, 1933. He was forty-two years old until his death on September 15, 1975 in the office of Archbishop of Tripoli. Archbishop Abed was a councilor at the Second Vatican Council and attended all sessions.
