Antoine Dufour
Antoine Dufour (* 1979 in L'Épiphanie , Lanaudière region , Québec ) is a French-Canadian guitarist and composer .
Dufour studied guitar at the Cégep in Joliette , where he became familiar with the fingerstyle technique of Don Ross , Leo Kottke and Michael Hedges .
His compositions are influenced by folk music , funk , progressive rock and classical music .
Dufour won first prize in the 2006 Canadian Guitar Festival competition . At the International Fingerstyle Guitar Championship of the same year in Winfield (Kansas) he was third.
