Joliette is a regional county municipality ( French municipalité régionale du comté, MRC ) in the Canadian province of Québec .

It is located in the administrative region of Lanaudière and consists of ten subordinate administrative units (two cities, six municipalities, a village and a district). The MRC was founded on January 1, 1982. The main town is Joliette . The population is 62,717 and the area is 418.1 km², which corresponds to a population density of 150.0 inhabitants per km².
