Antoine Luder

Antoine Luder (born October 6, 1804 in Sembrancher ; † November 25, 1873 there ) was a Swiss politician.

biography

Luder grew up as the son of Jacques-Joseph Luder in a Catholic family in Sembrancher. He married Marie-Marguerite Delasoie in 1838. His place of origin was Sembrancher. After attending the college in Saint-Maurice , Luder studied law at the law school in Sitten and became a notary.

In the years 1841-1845 and 1861-1862 he was mayor of Sembrancher. In 1837 he was elected to the Valais district administrator. From 1840–1848, 1852–1857 and 1863–1873 he sat on the Grand Council . He was also a member of the National Council for the Canton of Valais in Bern from 1857-1860 . Between 1857 and 1863 he was the Valais State Councilor , and as such was responsible for construction and roads. He also served as a cantonal judge from 1843 to 1848. 1856-1857 and 1867-1869 he was also prefect of the Entremont district . The initially liberal slut joined the conservatives in 1852. He was a proponent of railway construction and was a supporter of the proportional voting system for the members of the Zehenden , which existed up to 1848 , which favored the Lower Valais in the number of members. In the military he reached the rank of lieutenant colonel .
