Anton Bauer (composer)
Anton Bauer (born January 23, 1893 in Mallersdorf , † October 30, 1950 in Munich ) was a German composer , conductor and musicologist .
Life
Anton Bauer studied music in Munich at the Academy of Music and the University of Munich . He initially worked as a conductor , but then worked for many years as a music teacher in the Bavarian civil service. He taught a. a. at the cathedral high school in Freising . Further stations were Cham , Rosenheim and Moosburg before he finally settled in Munich.
In addition to numerous compositions, Bauer also published various works on music theory .
