Anton Clemens Albrecht Evers
Anton Clemens Albrecht Evers (* 1802 in Moritzberg near Hildesheim , † February 1, 1848 in Hanover ) was a German portrait and genre painter.
After his first apprenticeship with the painter Schmidt in Hildesheim, he attended high school. Orphaned at an early age, he worked as a clerk in Peine from 1823 to 1826 . Thanks to the help of friends, he learned portrait painting from Gustav Heinrich Naecke in Dresden . He worked as a portraitist in Hildesheim for a few years, after which he began studying at the Royal Academy of Arts in Munich on November 7, 1831 .
After graduating, he mostly painted genre pictures. After his stay in Munich, Evers returned to Hanover.
