Anton Debeljak
Anton Debeljak (born October 25, 1887 in Šegova Vas near Loški Potok , † October 24, 1952 in Lovran , Yugoslavia ) was a Slovene-speaking Yugoslav poet, journalist and translator.
Life
In 1912 Debeljak went to Paris to study Romance languages at the Sorbonne . He then returned to his home to at the newly founded University of Ljubljana to graduate .
Debeljak worked as a teacher until 1949; u. a. at the grammar school in Gorizia . At the same time he also acted as editor of the literary magazine Ljubljanski zvon .
One day before his 65th birthday, Anton Debeljak died on October 24, 1952 in Lovran, where he found his final resting place.
