Anton Ernst von Breuner

Anton Ernst von Breuner (born October 4, 1724 in Graz , † February 15, 1789 in Passau ) was a German prelate .

Life

Anton Ernst Franz, imperial count (since 1776 prince) von Breuner, born in Graz in 1724, was a son of the Styrian governor Karl Adam von Breuner and a brother of the prince-bishop of Lavant and Chiemsee, Franz Xaver von Breuner (1723–1797). He became canon in Freising in 1741 and six years later in Passau . In 1752 he was promoted to cathedral capital in Freising, and in Passau in 1755 as well. Ordained a priest in Passau in 1764, he received the office of Episcopal Passau official and vicar general for the diocese part in the region of the Enns , which was separated from the prince-bishopric of Passau during his tenure in 1783 by order of Emperor Josef II . From 1772 he was the real secret councilor and provost of the collegiate monastery St. Veit in Freising. He died on February 15, 1789 in Passau and was buried there.
