Anton Haupt (the younger)

Anton (Johann Albrecht) Haupt (the younger) (born July 5, 1826 in Wismar ; † March 26, 1889 ibid) was mayor of Wismar and a member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Haupt was the son of Wismar's mayor Anton Haupt (the elder) and attended high school in Wismar, the universities of Heidelberg in 1845, Bonn in 1846, Tübingen in 1847, Berlin in 1848 and Rostock in May 1848 to 1850 to study law . First he was a lawyer from 1850 to 1853, then a member of the magistrate in Wismar. From 1872 until his death he was first second, then first mayor of Wismar. He was also district commissioner for the Wismar evacuation district and civil chairman of the replacement commission, as well as chairman of the supervisory board of the Wismar-Rostock railway .

From 1874 to 1877 and from 1884 until his death he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Mecklenburg 2 (Wismar, Schwerin ) and the National Liberal Party .
