Anton (i) Joseph Schupp (* 1664 in Villingen in the Black Forest ; † 1729 there ) was a southern German sculptor .

family

He came from an old Villingen family, his father was the sculptor Johann Schupp (1631–1713). His sons were Joseph Schupp († 1748), Johann Baptist Schupp (1703-1735) and his successor Johann Ignatius Schupp (1692-1748).

Attributions

The statue of Maria Immaculata on the Marienbrunnen in Tiengen was sometimes attributed to him, but it was made by the sculptor Joseph Dietsche .
