Anton Morent

Anton Morent (born April 20, 1924 in Argenbühl ; † September 9, 2006 in Oberjoch ) was a German bus operator and promoter of tourism in the Allgäu . In 1950 he founded the bus company KOMM-MIT-Reisen.

Life

Anton Morent spent his childhood on a farm in the Allgäu in Württemberg . After voluntary military service in the Air Force in 1940 , he was severely wounded and released from American captivity. In 1946 he met his future wife "Lisl" Brutscher in Kempten and moved to Oberjoch. From 1948 to 2002 he devoted himself to building up a large private bus company, KOMM MIT-Reisen. It is active in local public transport in southern Germany and has a subsidiary in Tyrol . Anton Morent was also the initiator of the Allgäuer Tourismus working group, the Obere Mühle local history museum in Bad Oberdorf and Vice President of the Swabian Chamber of Commerce. For his activities he was honored with the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon (October 3, 1983) and the Cross of Honor of the Republic of Austria.
