Anton "Tonda" Mozr (Czech Antonín Mózr , born March 3, 1943 in Prague ) is a former German-Czech national volleyball player .

Volleyball career

Mozr started playing volleyball in his hometown in the 1950s and has played in the Czechoslovakia's junior national team since 1959. From 1960 to 1962 he played for Dynamo Prague and from 1962 to 1969 for Rudá Hvězda Prague , where he won the Czechoslovak Championship in 1966. With the A national team of the ČSSR , Mozr became world champion in his own country in 1966 and vice-European champion in 1967 in Istanbul . He completed a total of 216 international matches. After he was not considered for the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico, Mozr went to the Federal Republic of Germany in 1969 and played for five years at SSF Bonn , with whom he became German champion in 1974 . In 1975 the player switched to Hamburger SV and was German champion again in 1976. Then he succeeded as a player-coach with the 1. SC Norderstedt the rise from the Hamburg district league in the state league. In the 1984/85 season , Mozr became German champion for the third time as coach of Hamburger SV and won the DVV Cup . He then trained again with 1. SC Norderstedt until 1988.
