Anton Nikolaus Martens

Anton Nikolaus Martens (born May 21, 1800 in Lunden ; † February 28, 1848 ) was a provost in Dithmarschen .

Life

Anton Nikolaus Martens attended the school of scholars in Meldorf and began studying theology in Kiel with Hans Ernst von Kottwitz and Claus Harms at Easter 1818 . In 1823 he passed his official theological examination in Glückstadt and received the "second character with distinction". On 25 March 1825 he was by the municipality Windbergen in Süderdithmarschen to her pastor elected and took office on 21 August 1825th On March 11, 1827, he stood for election in Burg in Süderdithmarschen , where he worked as a pastor until his death.

Due to his merits, he was appointed by his sovereign on April 13, 1843 as the church provost of Süderdithmarschen .

Anton Nikolaus Martens was married to Louise geb. Kartheuser. He died on February 28, 1848.

Awards

Anton Nikolaus Martens was made Knight of Danebrog on June 28, 1847 .
