Anton Seitz (born May 27, 1869 in Windsheim , † May 25, 1951 in Munich ) was a German Catholic theologian .

Life

Seitz attended grammar school in Schweinfurt . In 1887/88 he first studied law in Munich and Leipzig , then from 1888 to 1892 theology in Würzburg . In 1892 he became city ​​chaplain in Hammelburg . In 1894 he received his doctorate in theology in Würzburg. He went on to study philosophy in Munich and obtained his doctorate there in 1897. phil.

In 1902 he was appointed private lecturer in Würzburg. From 1904 he was full professor for apologetics at the University of Munich. The focus of his academic work was the philosophical, dogmatic , dogma and religious comparative substructure of the Catholic Church.
