Anton Westner

Anton Westner (born September 17, 1944 in Gaimersheim ) is a German local politician of the CSU and was deputy district administrator in the Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm district from 2008 to 2020 . He was also mayor of the Upper Bavarian municipality of Reichertshofen .

Live and act

Westner attended the Willibalds-Gymnasium in Eichstätt and graduated with the middle school leaving certificate . He completed an apprenticeship as an administrative graduate (FH) in Munich . This was followed by a job in the Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm district office under the then district administrator Hans Eisenmann (CSU). He then worked for the Bavarian Municipal Auditing Association , the municipality of Zuchering (as a managing official and treasurer ) and the city of Ingolstadt .

From 1973 to 1980 he was treasurer and manager in the Reichertshofen community. From 1980 to 1990 he worked for the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior as a clerk for municipal budget and business law in Bavaria. In 1984 he was elected to the Reichertshofen municipal council. He was second mayor of the municipality from 1984 to 1990 and became first mayor in 1990. In the following local elections he was confirmed in office and held it until 2008.

Westner has been a member of the district council of the Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm district since 1984 and was deputy district administrator from 2008 to 2020. From April 2009 to August 2011 he performed the duties of the incumbent District Administrator and again represented District Administrator Martin Wolf who was injured in an accident from April to December 2017 . For the 2020 to 2026 term of office, he was re-elected to the district council on March 15, 2020 with the third highest number of votes in the CSU, where he will only be a “simple district councilor”.

Teaching

Westner taught from 1972 to 1980 as a lecturer at the Bavarian Administration School in Munich and at the civil service college in Hof, municipal budget and business law.
