Martin Wolf (District Administrator)
Martin Wolf (born January 4, 1956 in Pfaffenhofen adIlm ) is a German local politician ( CSU ). From August 2011 to April 2020 he was District Administrator of the district Pfaffenhofen adIlm .
Career
Wolf grew up on his parents' farm in Lausham (Reichertshausen municipality) . He attended elementary school in Steinkirchen, later the Dom-Gymnasium Freising and the Schyren-Gymnasium in Pfaffenhofen. After graduating from high school and doing basic military service with the Air Force in Neubiberg , he studied agricultural sciences at the Technical University of Munich in Weihenstephan with a focus on business administration and graduated as a Dipl. Agr. Ing. (Univ.).
He initially worked as an agricultural management consultant and teacher at the agricultural schools and offices in Passau and Pfaffenhofen. From 1998 he worked in the Bavarian State Ministry for Food, Agriculture and Forestry, where he was, among other things, office manager for Minister of State Josef Miller and head of department for management and controlling in the agricultural sector.
In the local elections in spring 1996 he was elected to the Pfaffenhofen City Council for the first time. He served there as a music consultant for twelve years and was appointed finance officer in 2008. Since 2009 he has been chairman of the CSU local association in Pfaffenhofen. After the impeachment of District Administrator Josef Schäch , he won the runoff election for his successor on July 31, 2011 against the candidate of the Free Voters, Rolf Deml, with 52.1 percent.
After his re-election as district administrator in the district elections in 2017, he only wants to hold the office for half a term until the next local election, which will take place in 2020. Martin Wolf cited the personal area as the main reason, which had nothing to do with the official relationship, and the elections for the district council should again take place together with the election for the district administrator in the Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm district. In January 2019, District Administrator Martin Wolf confirmed to press representatives that he would end his term of office as District Administrator with effect from April 30, 2020. In the meantime, Martin Wolf toyed with the idea of committing the full six-year term of office as district administrator, which caused a lot of excitement and vortex (possible broken word), among others in his party, the CSU. After Martin Wolf rowed back, he submitted an application to the district council to reduce the term of office, and on July 8, 2019, the majority approved the reduction in the term of office of Martin Wolf.
In the 2020 local elections on March 29, 2020, in a runoff election for the office of district administrator in the Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm district, the candidate of the Free Voters, Albert Gürtner with 51.5% against the CSU candidate Martin Rohrmann (48.5%) %) by. With this, Albert Gürtner ( Free Voters ) will become the new district administrator in the Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm district and the successor to Martin Wolf with effect from May 1, 2020.
On April 2, 2017, Wolf had a motorcycle accident on the A99 and sustained serious injuries. Due to the injuries that Martin Wolf sustained in the motorcycle accident, his deputy, Anton Westner (CSU) took over the official duties until Martin Wolf recovered and re-trained as district administrator. Anton Westner was supported by the deputy district administrator Josef Finkenzeller (FW).
