Traugott Scherg

Traugott Scherg (born May 10, 1936 in Eichstätt ; † July 18, 2017 in Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm ) was a German politician ( CSU ). From 1969 to 1996 he was District Administrator of the district Pfaffenhofen .

Life

Dr. Traugott Scherg was born as the son of a forest master and grew up near Burghausen after the death of his parents . Scherg studied law in Munich and at the University of Erlangen , where he received his doctorate. He then worked for the government of Upper Bavaria and came to the Pfaffenhofen district office in 1964 as an administrative lawyer.

When Hans Eisenmann was appointed Bavarian State Minister for Agriculture and Forests, Scherg was elected District Administrator in 1969 as his successor. At the age of 33, he was the youngest district administrator in Germany. During his tenure, among other things, the construction of the district hospital, today's Ilmtal-Klinik , was decided, the Schyren-Gymnasium was built and the secondary and vocational schools as well as the special schools were completely renewed. After 27 years in office as district administrator, he retired in 1996.
