Antonio Fernández , full name Antonio Nicolás Fernández Mozzo , (born August 7, 1985 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

Depending on the sources, 1.75 meters or 1.88 meters tall defensive player Fernández was at the beginning of his career in the Apertura 2003 in the squad of the then second division Sud América and played a game (no goal) in the Segunda División . In the 2006/07 season he was a player for the first division club Tacuarembó FC . In the following season he is led in ranks Nacional Montevideo . Again, Tacuarembó FC was his employer in the 2008 Apertura, and he spent the 2009 Clausura in Las Piedras with first division rivals Juventud . At the Canelones club he scored a goal of the season. In August 2009 he moved to the East Uruguayan club Cerro Largo FC . He ran six times in the 2009/10 season at the club from Melo in the Primera División . He didn't score a goal. Also in the 2009/10 season he was in the ranks of the Guatemalan club Deportivo Jalapa . There he hit the opposing goal in twelve appearances in the Liga Nacional . In June 2010 he joined El Tanque Sisley . 27 first division appearances and three goals show the usage statistics for him at the fusion club in the 2010/11 season. From July 2011 to July 2012 he played eleven times (no goal) for the Montevideo-based Liverpool Montevideo in the Primera División. In the 2012/13 season he was again involved with Juventud, where he completed 13 first division matches (no goal). At the beginning of August 2013, he moved to the first division promoted Sud América. In the 2013/14 season he played 15 league games with the Montevideans (no goal). In July 2014 he was awarded to the Argentine club Tristán Suárez and used nine times (no goal) in the Primera B Metropolitana . In the second half of January 2015, he joined the first division club Centro Atlético Fénix . There are eight league appearances (no goal) for him in the 2014/15 season. In mid-October 2015 he returned to Sud América and played a first division game (no goal) for the club from Montevideo in the 2015/16 season. In mid-August 2016 he moved to the first division relegated Villa Teresa .

Fernández was at least in June 2007 a member of the U-23 team of Uruguay, supervised by Roland Marcenaro .
