Antonio Perez Olea
Antonio Pérez Olea (born December 11, 1923 in Villamantilla, Madrid ; † January 5, 2005 there ) was a Spanish film composer and documentary filmmaker.
Life
Pérez Olea attended the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid and studied a. a. with Jesus Guridi and Conrado del Campo . He later expanded his areas of activity when he successfully completed a degree in optics and camera work at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia .
As a film composer, he presented numerous works for Vicente Aranda , Mario Camus , Fernando Fernán Gómez , Jorge Grau , Luis García Berlanga and Manuel Summers ; He has been his own director and cameraman on numerous short documentaries .
His music has received several awards, for example in 1965 with the Premio del Sindicato Nacional del Espectáculo for Julio Buchs ' Con el viento solano and in the following year with the Premio del Círculo de Escritores Cinematográficos for the soundtrack to the Italowestern Mountains, again composed for Buchs .
