Antonio Alejandro Porta Pernigotti (born October 28, 1983 in Firmat , Santa Fe Province , Argentina ) is an Argentine basketball player . He is used as a point guard and a shooting guard , he is 1.90 m tall and 91 kg.
Professional career
Porta played for Air Avellino in the Italian Lega Basket Serie A and in the Russian Superleague .
Argentina national team
Porta is also part of the Argentine national basketball team . His first appearance for the national team was in 2005 on the occasion of the Stanković Cup tournament , after which he participated with the national team in the American Championships in 2005 and 2007 of the FIBA , in 2006 in the South American Championships and in 2008 in the Summer Olympics in Beijing. In Beijing he and his team won the bronze medal in the basketball tournament .
Antonio Porta has an older brother Sebastian who is also a professional basketball player in Argentina.
