Antonios Grigorios Voutsinos

Antonios Grigorios Voutsinos AA , Greek Αντώνιος Γρηγόριος Βουτσίνος (born May 8, 1891 in Galissas ; † April 23, 1968 ) was a Roman Catholic Archbishop of Corfu, Zakynthos and Kefalonia .

Life

Antonios Grigorios Voutsinos joined the order of the Assumptionists and was ordained a priest on May 11, 1918 . Pius XI. appointed him on June 9, 1937 Bishop of Syros e Milos .

He was ordained bishop by the Apostolic Delegate in Turkey and Greece , Angelo Giuseppe Roncalli , on July 25 of the same year; Co- consecrators were Alessandro Guidati , Archbishop of Naxos, Andros, Tinos and Mykonos , and Paul Kiredjian , Archbishop of Istanbul .

Pius XII. appointed him on May 29, 1947 Archbishop of Corfu , Zakynthos and Kefalonia . Following the resignation as archbishop on July 6, 1952, appointed him Pope to Titular Archbishop of Aprus . He attended all the sessions of the Second Vatican Council .
