Apache dance was a German "Biophon" sound image from 1906 .

The film was about 60 or 52 meters long on a roll of film , about three minutes. The production company Oskar Messters Projektions GmbH Berlin of Oskar Messter produced this film. The recordings took place in Messter's film studio at Friedrichstrasse 16, Berlin. The gramophone record was produced by Deutsche Grammophon Aktiengesellschaft Berlin especially for Messter. An 'Apache dance' was shown, as the members of the Parisian underworld, who called themselves Apaches and have nothing in common with the Indian tribe in North America but the name, used to do it from around the turn of the century to the end of the First World War . However, the film was only censored the day before Christmas 1910.
