Meißner porcelain ( Salon-Gavotte by C. Alfredy ) was a German "Biophon" clay picture from 1906.
background
The film was about 77 meters long on a roll of film , which corresponds to about four minutes running time. The production company Oskar Messters Projektions GmbH Berlin of Oskar Messter produced this film. The recordings took place in Messter's film studio at Friedrichstrasse 16, Berlin. The gramophone record was produced by Deutsche Grammophon Aktiengesellschaft Berlin especially for Messter. Of the title-giving dance, a 'Salon'- was shown Gavotte of the composer Karl Alfredy . The first performance was in 1906, the film was re-censored on January 16, 1909. It was the first appearance for Rosa and Henny Porten .
