The Apo Asset Management GmbH (proper spelling apoAsset ) is a German financial services institution based in Dusseldorf. The company specializes in developing and managing mutual funds .

history

The company was founded in 1999, the shareholders are Deutsche Apotheker- und Ärztebank eG and Deutsche Ärzteversicherung AG . Initially, the products mainly included special funds ; retail funds were added around the year 2000 . In 2018, the company with 22 employees managed fixed assets of over 3 billion euros.

Business activity

The institute's fund managers primarily develop, manage and advise funds for private and institutional investors , such as pension funds . In the area of funds of funds , the company is one of the largest providers in Germany. Another focus is funds for the global healthcare market . Together with its holding Medical Strategy GmbH, which specializes in biotechnology investments, apoAsset forms the largest German specialist network for health funds. The company also manages pension funds and funds with quantitative investment strategies and was a founding partner of a fintech company.

Awards

Germany's best , a publication by Deutschlandtest and Focus Money , rated the company as one of the best fund investment companies in Germany in 2018. The investor magazines € uro and Börse Online have honored two of the health equity funds that the institute manages with a € uro Fund Award six times, most recently in 2019. The institute also received the Scope Investment Award 2018 and a Golden Bull 2018 for its fund innovations in the field of digital health. At the Feri EuroRating Awards 2016, the institute's health mixed fund was one of the best fund innovations of the year (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). The magazine Focus Money and the investor protection association DSW recognized the company in 2017 for its "excellent asset management". In 2014, 2015 and 2016 the “ WirtschaftsWoche ” magazine ranked the company among Germany's best asset managers. The pension fund area has also received several awards. In addition, the company has received the “Lipper Fund Awards” several times from the US media group Thomson Reuters for its funds of funds and health funds, as well as “best small mixed fund company”.
