Appian Way Productions is an American film production company founded by Leonardo DiCaprio and based on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood .

history

Leonardo DiCaprio founded Appian Way in 2004 and worked with Warner Bros. together. The first film to be made was the film drama Assassination of Richard Nixon , which Appian Way produced together with Anhelo Productions and Esperanto Filmoj . In the same year, the biopic Aviator was created under the direction of Martin Scorsese , in which DiCaprio also played the leading role.

In 2016, Appian Way ended its longstanding relationship with Warner Bros. and moved to Paramount Pictures , with whom a three-year first-look deal was signed.
