The Arabat Bay ( Ukrainian Арабатська затока , Russian Арабатский залив , Tatar Arabat körfezi) is a sea bay in the southwest of the Azov Sea .
The bay, located in the east of the Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea , is located between the Arabat Spit in the west, the Kerch peninsula in the south and Cape Kazan type in the east.
The bay is 22 km deep, up to 40 km wide and has a water depth of 8 to 9 m.
To the east of the bay is the village of Kamjanske ( Кам'янське ), near the ruins of the Turkish fortress Arabat . The city of Shcholkine lies to the west of the Arabat Bay .
