Lindenberg Arboretum

The Arboretum Lindenberg is an arboretum in Lindenberg , a district of the municipality Userin in the Mecklenburg Lake District in southern Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

It is located directly on the L 25 state road on the southern edge. On the eastern edge, the road to Hohenlanke , a district of the city of Neustrelitz, runs . East flows the chamber channel , northeast extends the 347.3 ha large Zierker lake .

The arboretum was laid out in 1887 by Rudolph Hahn, the former head forester of the Langhagen forestry department (now part of Neustrelitz ). It is owned by the state forest of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and is looked after by the Mirow Forestry Office .

In the arboretum there are 20 foreign tree species and indigenous trees, some with impressive growth rates. The coastal fir reaches a height of 44 meters and a diameter of 82 cm at chest height. Douglas firs reach a diameter of 80 cm.
