Arbouretum is an American rock band from Baltimore , Maryland . It was founded in 2002 by lead singer and guitarist David Heumann. The name of the band is derived from the term arboretum .
style
Musically, Arboretum can be assigned to psychedelic and stoner rock , with elements of folk and oriental and African influences also shaping the style.
The song lyrics are often inspired by themes of occidental mysticism and depth psychology . For example, CG Jung's Red Book served as the source of ideas for the fourth album The Gathering .
