The Archibald Point is an exposed rocky headland on the southwest coast of Bransfield Island before the northern end of the Antarctic Peninsula .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1963 after George Kenneth Archibald (* 1933), first officer of the research vessel RRS Shackleton, which was commissioned in 1954 for the British Antarctic Survey .
