Argiope (daughter of Neilos)
Argiope ( ancient Greek Ἀργιόπη Argiópe ) is the daughter of the river god Neilos in Greek mythology .
According to Pherecydes of Athens , a genealogist of the 6th century BC. She was the mother of Kadmos , the founder of the city of Thebes in Boeotia , while the usual tradition assumes that Kadmos was a son of Telephassa .
