The Argonaut Peak is a high mountain in the Cascade Range in the State of Washington . As part of the Stuart Range in the Wenatchee Mountains, it lies within the Alpine Lakes Wilderness in the Wenatchee National Forest and is part of the region known as The Enchantments . At 8,453 ft (2,576 m) in height, it ranks 65th on the list of Washington's highest peaks. Argonaut Peak forms the summit of a ridge between Colchuck Peak and Sherpa Peak. It has a south-eastern and a western summit of approximately the same height, the western summit being regarded as the real one. There is a protruding peak in the southeast. The southern slopes descend to the valley of Ingalls Creek. The north and northeast sides of the Argonaut rise high above a headwaters of Mountaineer Creek, a tributary of Icicle Creek . Argonaut Peak is 1.7 mi (2.7 km) west of Isolation Lake and 1.8 mi (2.9 km) east of Mount Stuart .
