Ari Mannio
Ari Pekka Mannio (born July 23, 1987 in Lehtimäki , South Ostrobothnia ) is a Finnish javelin thrower . His best performance is 85.70 m, which he set up on May 24, 2009 in Leppävirta .
In Finland he is one of the great hopes for young talent, not least thanks to his silver medal at the 2006 Junior World Championships in Beijing . In 2005 he was third at the European Junior Championships. Due to the strong competition in his home country, he was only nominated as a substitute for the World Athletics Championships in 2009.
In Helsinki he won the bronze medal at the European Championships in 2012. At the 2012 Olympic Games , Mannio qualified for the final, but did not reach the final round of the top eight and finished eleventh.
Ari Mannio is 1.80 m tall and has a competition weight of 80 kg. In 2011 he was Finnish champion.
