Arild Rafalzik
Arild Rafalzik (born January 5, 1957 in Würzburg ; † February 20, 2018 in Munich ) was a German author, journalist, music and film producer.
life and work
Rafalzik began training as a book printer with a journeyman's examination at Bauer'sche Druckerei in Munich in 1980. After completing military service, further training as an offset printer, graphic artist, repro photography, cartography. Employee in the technical office of Bayer. State Ministry for Economics and Transport in Munich. From 1986 Rafalzik was full-time deputy print shop manager at DG Bank / DZ Bank.
In the 1990s he wrote the first German Lex Barker biography together with Fritz Tauber . Music CDs from the crime film series by composers Martin Böttcher and Peter Thomas followed . For this, Rafalzik was the first to receive the Edgar Wallace Prize in silver in 1999.
From 2000 to 2012 he released ten important CDs under the music series “German Film Composers” for Bear Family Records and received praise and recognition from critics in the music industry.
The actor George Clooney resorted to several pieces of music on the Peter Thomas CD and used them to accompany his 2002 film, "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind".
At the same time, Arild Rafalzik worked for various DVD labels such as Studio Hamburg, TV and Film Jewels and conducted interviews with Joachim Fuchsberger , Uwe Ochsenknecht , Hannes Jaenicke , Siegfried Rauch , Hannelore Elsner , Peter Thomas and many more.
Award
In 1999 he was awarded the Silver Edgar Wallace Prize in Titisee-Neustadt for services to German crime film music.

CD productions
1996 crime film music by Martin Böttcher (producer, executive producer, booklet design), label: BSC Music. One track on the CD was used in the Pfarrer Braun film " The Skeleton in the Dunes " (2003).
1998 Crime film music by Peter Thomas (producer, executive producer, booklet design), label: BSC Music. 5 tracks on the CD were used in the film “ Confessions of a Dangerous Mind ” (2002).
