Arist von Schlippe

Arist von Schlippe (* 1951 ) is a German psychologist , psychotherapist and university professor .

1976–1981 activity in child and adolescent psychiatry. From 1981 active in the clinical psychology of the University of Osnabrück , since 2005 he has held the chair for leadership and dynamics in family businesses at the University of Witten-Herdecke . From 1999 to 2005 he was the first chairman of the Systemic Society .

Since 1986 von Schlippe has been a teaching therapist and teaching supervisor at the Institute for Family Therapy in Weinheim. The Association of Latvian Family Therapists in Riga made him an honorary member. He acts as co-editor of the specialist journal "Familiendynamik" and is co-author of the "Textbook for systemic therapy and counseling". His scientific work reveals a strong clinical accent, which is supplemented by questions relating to family businesses and organizations. He has dealt with various questions relating to family therapy and sees the transition from counseling to therapeutic work with families as fluid.

Since 2005 von Schlippe has held the chair “Leadership and Dynamics in Family Businesses”. From 2007 to 2017 he was academic director of the Witten Institute for Family Business (WIFU) at the private University of Witten / Herdecke .
