Willy Christian Kriz (* 1968 in Vienna ) is a German economic and organizational psychologist and university professor.

Life

After the Matura ( Abitur ) at the scientific secondary school in Baden near Vienna, he studied from 1989 to 1993 psychology at the University of Vienna . He then worked as a research assistant at the Vienna International Conference on the Future from 1993 to 1995 and obtained his doctorate in Dr. phil. from Giselher Guttmann on the subject of training system competence with simulation games . He was a research assistant at the Department of Social and Economic Psychology of the University of Linz (1996 until 1997), staff and project manager at the Institute of Personnel and Organizational Consulting Linz and he was a research assistant at the Institute of Psychology at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich ( 1998 to 2005). Since 2005 he has been a professor at the Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences in Dornbirn , Austria in the Department for Management and Business Administration there. He is located there with a focus on corporate governance and management. At the Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences, he is also responsible for university didactics .

He is the son of Jürgen Kriz , has been married since 1998 and has a daughter and a son.

Act

R&D focuses are: Evaluation of simulation games. He was u. a. (together with Jan Ulrich Hense) responsible for the scientific evaluation and accompanying research of the EU Leonardo da Vinci project Simgame (2003 to 2005); Since 2007 he has been responsible, together with Eberhard Auchter and Helmut Wittenzellner, for the scientific evaluation of the 'Exist-Prime-Cup', a business game competition sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology for the development of skills and entrepreneurship motivation .

He has been a founding and board member of SAGSAGA (Swiss Austrian German Simulation and Gaming Association) since 2001 and was first chairman for 6 years, since 1998 a member of the board of ISAGA (International Simulation And Gaming Association) was president of ISAGA and is together with Paola Rizzi since 2004 founder and director of the ISAGA Summer School. Since 2010 he has been a member of the jury of the German Management Game Prize, an award for final degree theses and dissertations / habilitations in the field of business games. He works in further training , personnel development and organizational consulting and develops business games, the best known being the SysTeamsChange developed with Hanja Hansen . He is a member of the editorial board of the journal Simulation & Gaming.
