Arizona State Auditor
The Arizona State Auditor was one of the constitutional offices of the State of Arizona . The State Auditor was elected for a two-year term along with the other Arizona constitutional offices at the beginning of the first session of the new Arizona Legislature .
The state auditor's duties included auditing the state's financial statements and accounting for federal programs. The tests were conducted according to the testing standards of the standards generally used in the United States for state testing. In accordance with these principles, an audit was carried out which determined with reasonable certainty whether the annual financial statements were free from material errors.
The Arizona state constitution was amended in 1968. In this context, the post of Arizona State Auditor was abolished. Jewel Jordan was the last incumbent.
