Arizona Superintendent of Public Instruction

The Arizona Superintendent of Public Instruction is one of the constitutional offices of the State of Arizona .

The Superintendent of Public Instruction oversees the state of Arizona's public school system and directs the Arizona Department of Education. As set forth in the Arizona state constitution, this includes the provision of school places in the public school system and includes places in classes from kindergarten through high school.

The Superintendent of Public Education is an ex officio member of the Arizona Board of Regents , which oversees the state's universities.

The term of office is four years and re-election is possible.
