Armando Bó , occasionally Armando Bo (born May 3, 1914 in Buenos Aires , † October 8, 1981 ibid) was an Argentine actor , director and composer for film music.

Life

Bó made his debut as an actor in 1939 in the film Ambición (director: Adelqui Migliar ) and this was followed by over fifty films with which Bó was more or less successful.

After the Second World War , Bó began to act behind the camera; he produced, directed and composed the music for several films. In 1948, Bó and his colleague Elías Hadad founded the Sociedad Independiente Filmadora Argentina (SIFA).

As a director, Bó was best known for his sex exploitation films ; at the latest by the scandal that it sparked in 1956: in his film El trueno entre las horas - based on a novel by Augusto Roa Bastos - the twenty-year-old actress Isabel Sarli was seen naked; the first nude scene in an Argentine film.

Armando Bó died at the age of 67 on October 8, 1981 in Buenos Aires, where he found his final resting place.

His son Victor Bó (* 1943) is also an actor and producer, his grandson Armando Bó is a screenwriter and director.
