Annemarie Heinrich (born January 9, 1912 in Darmstadt , German Empire , † September 22, 2005 in Buenos Aires , Argentina ) was an Argentine photographer of German origin.

Life

Annemarie Heinrich was born in Darmstadt in 1912 (according to other sources in Dresden ). She grew up in Berlin until the family emigrated to Argentina in 1926 for economic and political reasons. There she began her photography training in Larroque and opened her first photo studio at the age of 19. The first exhibition of her pictures followed in 1938. She soon specialized in portrait photography as well as dance, fashion and nude photography .

Heinrich was best known for her recordings of Argentinian stars. She photographed Eva Perón , Armando Bó , Flora Nudelman , Zully Moreno , Mirtha Legrand , Ernesto Bianco , Graciela Borges , Isabel Sarli , Tita Merello , Pinky , Bárbara Mujica , Susana Freyre , Susana Giménez and Mercedes Sosa, among others .

From 1950, her works were shown in various exhibitions around the world. She was a member of the Society of German Photographers , the Consejo Argentino de Fotografia, the La Carpeta de los Dias and the Asociación de la Danza. Heinrich was honored as Honorable Excelencia FIAP by the Fédération internationale de l'Art photographique . In 1992 she was made an honorary citizen of Buenos Aires. In 2001 she was awarded the Prize of the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes at the Primera Bienal Internacional de Arte de Buenos Aires .

Annemarie Heinrich died in Buenos Aires in September 2005 at the age of 93. She was buried in the German section of the Cementerio de la Chacarita . Heinrich was married to the writer Ricardo Sanguinetti. She left behind two children, Alice and Ricardo Sanguinetti, who also work as photographers.
