Isabel Sarli (actually Hilda Isabel Gorrindo Sarli ; born July 9, 1929 in Concordia , Entre Ríos province ; † June 25, 2019 in San Isidro ) was an Argentine actress .

Life

Sarli won the Miss Argentina competition in 1955 . This is how the director Armando Bó became aware of her and through his films - mostly sex exploitation films - she became famous.

When she was seen naked in Bó's film El trueno entre las horas in 1956 (the first nude scene in an Argentine film), this scandal made her known throughout South America overnight. Later she also worked with other directors, such as B. Leopoldo Torre Nilsson , through whom she was made known to a European audience at the 15th Cannes Film Festival in 1962. Her work includes more than 30 film and television productions.

On October 12, 2012, the Argentine President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner declared Isabel Sarli to be the “cultural ambassador of Argentina”.
